So, here's another interesting story to be shared.
I've just finished my end posting assessment for Pediatrics posting. Well, personally I think, that that wasn't my best, but I did what I could. And just like any other EOPs/exams, I usually realized it way too late, that the exams were going to be doable if only I read the books earlier hahah. If and only if. Countless regrets, but will always repeat the same mistakes lelz.
Anyways, before the final week of Paeds, we had 2 weeks of holidays! See? Even with those extra hours/days, I did a lot of things, other than studying, of course. Let's get started!!!
Impromptu trip
It wasn't that impromptu really haha. As someone who travels with quite detailed itinerary (before Covid comes), this could be the beginning of more unplanned trips? I agreed to join because, the immature me (more like lacking-life-experience me) would want to know and be involved in the new year celebration. I've never been in one, so I thought at the age of 24/25, I want to be a part of it. Little did we know, it could be that one disastrous decision ever made. Young and still learning; proven!
Fyi, the trip was supposed to be a 2 days 1 night trip, solely for food hunting and shopping. But things went left. Like left, left. :(
We reached Bangalore on 31st Dec morning, not knowing the new rules pertaining to Covid SOPs, because the surge in cases is seen in BLR. We went for breakfast like a king (read : queens) at Glen's Bakehouse, playing tourist in the city, shopping like we've got 'thick wallets', had lunch with just sushis (I swear my satiety level could not be satisfied with just sushis, I'm a proud Malay :)), continued shopping until the mall is ready for closing. We were hyped for dinner when we booked an Uber to our stay, but while waiting, our eardrums were close to rupture while our hearts were close to beating irregularly! Why? Out of nowhere, I saw a firework-like thingy behind me with super loud explosion, coming from an electrical sub-station! It was very sudden and someone could've died if they were near the pole! Wallahi, it was terrifying, especially knowing that we haven't prayed yet, and that we were spending hours leisurely in the shopping mall, for God's sake! But sth real sad, is waiting for us :((
It was at 10 pm of 31st Dec when we knew that a weekend curfew is newly implemented due to the surge of cases. Mind you, we were most probably on our 10,000th steps of the day (which was a rare occasion for me) since we went window shopping all day long, and with just sushi for lunch, I really looked forward for dinner that night. With rumbling stomachs, we were stopped by the policeman, asking about our reasons for staying out when we were supposed to stay in. I mean, how do we know? We were merely a group of tourist, ceyhh. So, we were 'released' and went straight to our hotel, and fyi, we only had several flavours of 'keropok' for dinner sobs.
We slept soundly though, despite our heavy hearts and empty stomachs haha. At least, we get to celebrate New Year's eve together, right?
On 1st January 2022, we woke up to the fun thought of Yulu rides. Yulu seems very interesting, with its striking blue colour especially in a big town like BLR. We thought Yulu is easily available, but it was not so. Thus, we walked to Starbucks, for multiple aesthetic shots, ceyyh. Then, we hopped on metro to Vidhana Soudha station, also for a short photoshoot session, and because Yulu rides were available there. The ride was super cool!! I loved it!! We loved it!! After playing tourist, we had our lunch at Thai House, it was scrumptious! We then proceed to Mantri Square Mall, with all of our heavy lugagges lelz, just to be well-informed, that staying out on New Year, is definitely not an option anytime in the future. There were so many people, and we eventually left the mall for Snow Ora. A couple of things happened (sad ones again) haha, but alhamdulillah we arrived in Belgaum in one piece, (or 4 pieces, 1 for each heh). And that's that!
