my teeth journey + ramblings

Assalamualaikum peeps. Based on the title, this post was planned to be written almost one and a half year ago, when I actually decided to undergo orthodontic treatment at Dr Vijay Naik's Clinic.

The transformation wasn't a comfortable/enjoyable process. It takes time, effort, patience & discipline. Who'd want to go through such a pain and routine, to esp go for monthly appointments. I had to make time for that. I also have to sacrifice 4 of my healthy teeth leaving me 32-4= 28 teeth in total.

And you wouldn't want to feel the exact pain sensation when these 4 tooth were extracted to make space for a perfect alignment. I also have to bear a period of time smiling with gaps between my teeth before they are aligned like they are now. And one of the worst memory of my teeth journey would be during RCT-root canal treatment. Right after the RCT, all types of pain are to be compared with it because I will not forget how awful it was. ( I even cried my heart out during the treatment and ended up with a red & puffy face-more like a clown I guess?)

Most importantly, my teeth journey really taught me a lot.
It taught me that nothing in this life is 100% acceptable even if the results are. And it taught me that Allah's creation does create wonders. Imagine the first person undergoing this treatment. Wouldn't it feel unsafe to actually put in a number of metal plates, wires, colourful rubbers to attain a perfect smile? He must have thought that, what if the treatment will not do any changes to me, after all the pain that I have to go through? What if this is just one of those lab rat experiments?

'Allah's creation does create wonders'- those knowledge applied & altered to man's desires, does make a change. Those foreign objects inserted to the buccal cavity, actually did a constant adjustments & reconstructions. Subhanallah, it is an experience of which  I can observe & feel directly or in other words how this magic works.

Caution: This post is intended for myself, and there'll be number of pictures that might trigger your vomiting sensation. Please do not mention or use any of the pictures in this post in any whatsapp groups, telegram, instagram, facebook, or any social medias. Please respect my sincere request, and thank you.

Done. That concludes my teeth transformation journey which will InsyaAllah benefit me in a way that there'll be lesser risk of trapped food between teeth and reduce risk of painful swellings of the gums (esp after trapped food is removed), and insyaAllah an increase in rewards for smiling too much, hehe.

Semoga hari anda indah :)
