Assalamualaikum & hi everyone!!
It's really really hard initiating this post considering that now I know what it feels like to be missing 'The Haramain'. It's devastatingly sad, but in a good way, insyaAllah. I can never imagine how it'd feel before going to Umrah, and I can never relate, honestly. But now, I'd do anything (legal and permissible) to just be able to go and visit Haramain again huhu.
For reference : Haramain/Haramayn means "The Two Sanctuaries"; the traditional Islamic appellation of two holy cities of Islam - Mecca and Medina. Though I know only a few words in Arabic, the '-main' at the end of the word refers to number 2 - ithnain. And that's the end of my Arabic class haha.
And before all else, I'd like to apologise in advance, if this post is going to be delivered bilingually. Though I'll try my level best not to mix those 2 languages in a sentence, insyaAllah (and that's how a professional author is born amiin).
This trip deserves 2 separate posts in my journal -Mecca and Medina. And I've just learned that a journal is inequivalent to an itinerary haha. So, what I'm doing now is sharing my journal with you, not an itinerary. It took me 25 years to know that haha. Anyways, let's get to it!
Alhamdulillah, all praise to Allah, The Most Gracious, The All Hearing. On 16th Oct 2022, He invites Mama, Abah and me to Haramain, to perform my first Umrah. I was really wary about my doings, my ibadah, my acts especially 2-3 months before Umrah&Ziarah. To be honest, I was quite scared of the what-if; He cancels on me? I mean, only He knows how bad of a sinner I am huhu. I was constantly clouded by my mixed emotions- the excitement to perform Umrah with Mama & Abah at such a young age (alhamdulillah) but also the worry of all the wrong things I might be doing during Umrah (all the forbidden things done during Ihram). Apapun, ingatlah, Allah itu sesuai sangkaan hamba-Nya :)
I won't be mentioning our travel agent, but you can probably make it out of the photos below. It's just because, I don't want this post to be found easily with such a well-known company name written in my super-humble-no-one-comes-to-read blog post. So, yeah. But, of course I'll share the pros and cons choosing this particular agent- and I bet you'd find me praising them all the time hehe. In hope, that it'll help you a lil bit, here and there, in deciding your future travel agent for Umrah, insyaAllah.

4. Saya bukan seorang niqabis, niat saya pakai niqab di sana adalah untuk menggantikan 'facemask' demi melindungi diri daripada wabak dan juga udara yang kering. Jadi, mohon jangan jadikan saya kayu ukur niqabis ya. Saya cuma kurangkan pakai 'facemask' sebab bila berpeluh muka gatal. Kalau pakai niqab, bila berpeluh meresap, jadi tak gatal alhamdulillah.

2000 : Naik bas ke hotel
2100 : Sampai di Hotel Olayan Al Haram bilik 403 (tingkat 4 bilik 03)
2350 : Mula umrah pertama (Miqat di Qarnul Manazil dalam flight- 30 minit sebelum mendarat)

| Bukan hari2 dapat berada dalam perjalanan begini, alhamdulillah. I remember sleeping in the first few hours of the flight, but after I woke up, I cannot contain my excitement, and though I felt sleepy, my eyes weren't cooperating huhu. Plus, the time difference - Mecca is 5 hrs later than Malaysia. Maka saya berjagalah dalam 6 jam camtu, walaupun tahu patut rehat untuk ibadah nanti. |

| The first pic I took in Masjidil Haram, cause long ago, even camera phones are not allowed in the mosque. This picture marks the end and completion of my first Umrah; umrah wajib. Terlepas daripada kumpulan sebenarnya masa tawaf, lepastu solat sunat tawaf dengan harapan jumpa orang lain. Sambil terjenguk2, dan agaknya nampak keliru nau, pekerja pun hulur air zam-zam sambil cuba memberi solusi. Pernah dengar tak bagaimana lintasan hati pun Allah makbulkan di tempat mustajabnya doa ni? Jadi, saya cakaplah dalam hati, kalaulah dapat jumpa Mama. Cause I don't even know which was the way to perform Sai'e. Rupa-rupanya kalau di sini, ikut je ke mana semua orang pergi, insyaAllah, takkan sesat. Dan Allah izinkan, saya jumpa Mama di tempat Sa'ie, sebelum mula pun, alhamdulillah |

At this point of time, I still didn't realised that I'd need maximum level of energy - to just be able to perform daily obligatory prayers, excluding Umrah. This information is merely to let you guys be well-informed that, going back and forth of Masjidil Haram isn't an easy task, specifically for the elders. And with our routine, we had at least 4 times trip to and fro of Masjidil Haram daily. And that surely requires physical and mental strength. Not to mention spiritual strength too, and luckily alhamdulillah Mama & Abah are my greatest source of strength. Alhamdulillah alhamdulillah alhamdulillah. Maybe I'll do a part 3; to share some tips and advices, for your future Umrah trip insyaAllah.

0800 : Panjat Jabal Rahmah dengan Abah, beli kurma muda/fresh
0844 : Ziarah tempat manasik Haji; Muzdalifah, Mina
0930 : Miqat Umrah kedua di Masjid Ja’ranah
1330 : Habis tawaf, mula lepas solat Zuhur (kurang sesak, tapi taklah kosong sebab panas terik)
1350 : Mula Sai'e
1640 : Habis Sai'e dan Asar di Masjidil Haram, lunch di luar sebab habis lambat
2220 : Dinner di hotel (SR-Selera Ramai)

| Tak tinggi mana pun Jabal Rahmah tu, lepas turun kita membeli-belah di pasar pekarangan Jabal Rahmah. Memandangkan tempat2 ziarah begini, menerima beratus2 tetamu setiap hari, maka logiklah tempat parkir bas disediakan. Cuma, mana2 tempat ziarah memang memerlukan 'kaki' untuk betul2 sampai di tempat tersebut. Itulah salah satu kelebihan menunaikan Umrah pada usia yang muda, pada pendapat saya. Kita punya kudrat, punya tenaga, jika penat sekalipun, selepas berehat, insyaAllah boleh teruskan hidup seperti biasa. Kenapa saya banyak kali sebut tentang ini? Sebab, saya kagum dengan kuatnya semangat Mama Abah & jemaah lain, yang kebanyakannya berusia tetapi tetap gagahkan juga tenaga walaupun sakit kaki, sakit lutut dan sebagainya, demi merebut ganjaran yang Allah janjikan di Tanah Suci ini. | Sepanjang perjalanan, saya puji kesungguhan mutawwif untuk mengisi masa dengan berkongsi ilmu tentang ibadah haji secara menyeluruh. Kami juga beruntung sebab dapat pemandu bas yang masuk tempat menunaikan haji, walaupun mutawwif kata kadang2 pemandu bas lalu je tempat2 tersebut, alhamdulillah. | Ni tempat solat yang nampak Ka'abah, sebab 40 minit sebelum masuk waktu solat, dataran Ka'abah hanya dibuka untuk lelaki. Asalnya, kami mahu buat Umrah sebagai satu kumpulan. Tapi, Allah aturkan yang lain untuk kami. Maka jemaah wanita bolehlah ke kawasan ini untuk solat, dan seterusnya boleh masuk Mataf untuk tawaf. |
